COVID update
In line with Government guidance, we continually reviewed how we work with not only our clients, but our staff and volunteers as well.
With COVID restrictions in Scotland having been legally removed we have again reviewed how we deliver our services and, as things stand, the following is an up-to-date summary. We will update this page regularly so please check back for the latest information.
Office closures
Our offices and R:evolve Recycle shops are once again open for business.
Befriending
While our one-to-one befriending has returned to face to face meetings, we are still offering “remote” befriending via the telephone, email or apps such as Zoom. In fact, some of our long-term matches have continued as telephone befriending as the client and volunteer prefer this option.
We have also re-introduced our friendship groups. In all cases, clients and volunteers discuss and agree whether they should wear a mask. Call 0141 641 5169 to find out more.
Handyperson service
Our handyperson service, free to over 50s for small jobs, is now able to do more work to help keep clients safe in their homes and will work safely to meet the needs of individual clients and volunteers.
We are also carrying out paid work for clients, providing quality work at a price people can trust. If the job can't be done by our team of volunteers, we ask one of our trusted traders to quote for the work. Call 0141 641 5169 for details.
Learning and Leisure
We are now running a full programme of activities, mainly face to face but with online activities an option where participants prefer this approach. Visit our What's On page or call 0141 641 5169 for details.
R:evolve Recycle
All of R:evolve Recycle’s shops and activities have resumed. Check R:evolve Recycle's Facebook page for details of shop and haberdashery opening times and events, visit our What's On page or call 0141 641 5169 for details.
